Finley Barrett-Carter: Rising Star in Yorkshire's Performing Arts

Early Life and Background

I was born and raised in York. From a young age, I showed a keen interest in the arts, often participating in school plays and a Local screen acting group. My parents, recognizing my talent in performance, encouraged me to pursue my passion. They enrolled me in drama classes at 13, where I honed my skills and developed a deeper love for performance, this later guided me too singing.

Training and Development

To refine my craft, I sought further training/education from various institutions. I attended workshops, participated in community theatre, and even took private lessons from seasoned professionals. Each experience contributed to my growth in knowledge as an artist and helped me develop a unique style that resonates with audiences in both singing and acting.

Influences and Inspirations

If you were to ask my favourite actor, I'd quite easily say Stephen Graham. His influence has been huge on me teaching me how important it is to be diverse in the acting industry, my favourite role of his being combo in this is England!

My biggest Inspiration in singing would have to be Elvis, I love his songs and stage Prescence and crowd interactions. I sing a lot of his songs as I feel something amazing when I do. Especially when I get the reaction from the crowd afterwards. My favourite song will have to be "If I can dream" due to it's meaning to me personally as that song started my singing journey.
